Veterinary Nurses

Becky RVN, Head Nurse

I’m head Veterinary Nurse here at Green Pastures. My biggest passion in practice is all things feline! I find cats fascinating and challenging. I have completed my feline friendly nursing certificate. I am also an A1 assessor and clinical coach which allows me to train our student nurses.

I have three cats at home: Alfie, Gremmie and Smudge. Outside of work I enjoy walking, spending time with friends, home improvements, and gardening!

Hana, RVN

I originally started here at Green Pastures in 2011 working as a student Veterinary Nurse whilst studying at University. Since qualifying in 2013, I accepted a permanent RVN position. I enjoy all aspects of nursing.

Outside of work I spend my time riding my horse, Tyson. I also have three cute cats: Keith, Henry, and Dotty. I enjoy seeing my friends and family.

Maggie, RVN

I enjoy in-patient nursing here at Green Pastures. I love emergency and critical care and am currently studying for the ECC Certificate to add to my nursing care. I do also enjoy clinics, surgical nursing, and student training. You may see me (hopefully not!) during the unsociable hours of our out-of-hours service.

I currently have three cheeky cats: Ron, Rory, and Rhodey. Aside from nursing I enjoy arts and crafts, photography, and gardening.

Charlotte, RVN

I have been at Green Pastures since 2004 where I started as a student Veterinary Nurse. I then qualified in 2007. I have completed my A1 Assessor Award which allows me to coach new nursing students. I enjoy looking after inpatients and love nursing them back to health.

I have two adorable cats: Marmite and Toast. My hobbies include horse riding and socialising with family and friends.

Emma, RVN

I joined Green Pastures as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse in 2003 and became Head Nurse in 2005. I’ve now passed this role onto Becky. I hold an A1 Assessor qualification which allows me to coach new nursing students. I have also been a Royal College Examiner. My strengths are practical nursing such as: dressings, wounds, x-rays, bloods, and catheters. I enjoy working with other nurses carrying out operation mornings.

My biggest passion is everything feline! Along with my Husband I run a successful Cattery. In my spare time I enjoy arts and crafts, particularly painting furry felines!

Katie RVN

I began working at Green Pastures in 2008 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I then qualified in 2011. Since then I have completed my Clinical Coach training, which allows me to coach new nursing students. Within work I enjoy inpatient care and nurse consultations.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends and family, arts and crafts, and going to the gym. I love spending time with my two lovely dogs Jack and Bella, and my two cuddly cats Chloe and Mia.

Michelle, RVN Night Nurse

I have a lot of experience in emergency and critical care. You’re unlikely to see much of me as I work as one of Green Pastures dedicated Night Nurses. This involves caring for your poorly pets throughout the night. I am particularly passionate about ensuring that my patients are comfortable and pain free. I spend a lot of time, particularly with cats, watching for subtle clues to assess their comfort levels.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling the world and discovering new sights. I love photography and love sharing my photographs on social media.

Megan, RVN

I started my training in September 2016 and qualified in December 2018. I enjoy patient care and nurse consultations. You may see me during the unsociable hours as I am part of the night nursing team. Now that I am qualified, I am developing my knowledge on canine body language and am helping to create a low stress visit for your dog.

Outside of work I enjoy baking and readings. I have two cheeky pugs: Buddy and Todd, and a mischievous cat: Lilo.

Arriane,  RVN

I qualifed in 2019 and throughout my training I have really enjoyed the practical aspects of nursing, particularly patient monitoring when animals are under anaesthetic. One of my biggest passions is infection control! I like to make sure our Practice is looking the best it can be!

Outside of work I enjoy caring for my mini zoo of animals. I have two cats: Winston and Chester, two dogs: Toby and Walter, and my roaming tortoise Lynx! I particularly enjoy taking my dogs on country walks.

Josie Trainee VN

In a previous life I worked at Secret World Wildlife Rescue and dreamed of becoming a Veterinary Nurse. I am loving my training at Green Pastures and am really enjoying going to college too. Within work I love nursing both cats and dogs but am really in my element with exotic patients. I am passing on my exotic knowledge to my fellow nurses so that we can provide the best care possible!

Outside of work I enjoy going to theme parts, having long walks with my dog Teddy, bathing and creating enrichment for my tortoise Pi, and helping at Secret World.

Sam, Trainee VN

I recently started at Green Pastures having previously been an Animal Care Assistant and receptionist at a previous practice. I look forward to starting college in September and really developing my veterinary knowledge.

My passions are in patient care. I love being able to play a part in improving the health of our hospitalised patients so they can return home happy and health.

Outside of work I enjoy reading, skating, and looking after my bunny Floss and two cheeky lurchers Willow and Luna.

Olivia, Trainee VN

I am currently working as a veterinary nursing assistant and weekend receptionist at Green Pastures. I started working here whilst completing a work experience placement during college and am now looking forward to beginning my veterinary nurse training here at the beginning of June. When I’m not at work I love spending time at the yard caring for and riding my  horse Hally, walking the family dog and meeting friends.
