Becky RVN, Head Nurse
My biggest passion in practice is all things feline! I find cats fascinating and challenging. I have completed my feline friendly nursing certificate. I am also an A1 assessor and clinical coach which allows me to train our student nurses. I have three cats at home which I have owned for many years.
Outside of work I enjoy walking, spending time with friends, all things food related, home improvements and I adore gardening.
I originally started here at Green Pastures in 2011 working as a student veterinary nurse whilst studying at University, and since qualifying in 2014, accepted a permanent registered veterinary nurse position. I enjoy all aspects of nursing.
Outside of work I spend my time riding my horse, Tyson, looking after my three cute cats, Keith, Henry and Dotty, and seeing friends and family.
I enjoy in-patient nursing and emergency and critical care, although I also enjoy clinics, surgical nursing and student training. You may see me (hopefully not!) during the unsociable hours of our out of hours service.
Although having always been a dog owner, my recent collective is all feline. Aside from Nursing I am also interested in arts and crafts and photography
I have been at Green Pastures since 2004 where I started as a trainee veterinary nurse and qualified in 2007. I have also completed my assessor award which allows me to coach new students. I enjoy looking after inpatients and nursing them back to health.
I have 2 adorable cats ‘Marmite’ and ‘Toast.' My hobbies include hiking, horse riding, socialising with friends and family and planning my next trip travelling the world!
I have returned to Green Pastures after woking at the Feline Centre at Bristol University Vet Hospital. I hope to use my new found knowledge to further increase our feline friendly nursing care. Outside of work, when not exercising my bouncy dog Dottie, I enjoy crafting and have set up my own business making handmade pet collars and accessories
I joined Green Pastures as a Qualified Nurse in 2003 and became Head Nurse in 2005, I have now passed this role onto Becky! I hold an A1 assessor qualification and am a clinical coach for the trainee nurses and I am a Royal College Examiner. I feel that my particular strengths are practical nursing; dressings, wounds, x-rays, bloods and catheters and I enjoy working with the other nurses carrying out operation mornings.
I enjoy gardening and all things arts and crafts.
I began working at Green Pastures in 2008 as a trainee and I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2011. Within work I enjoy patient care and nurse consultations.
Outside work I enjoy socialising with friends, going to the gym and spending time with my lovely dogs Jack and Bella and my two cuddly cats Chloe and Mia!
Michelle, RVN Night Nurse
I have a lot of experience in emergency and critical care. You're unlikely to see much of me as I work as one of Green Pastures dedicated Night Nurses. this involves caring for your poorly pets throughout the night. I am particularly passionate about ensuring my charges are comfortable and pain free, I spend a lot of time particularly with cats watching for subtle clues to assess their comfort levels.
Outside of work I am currently hand rearing my lovely kitten Evie who came in as a stray
Megan, Trainee VN
i am currently studying for my QVN qualification, this involves attending colleague regularly and writing up case studies. I enjoy all aspects of nursing care, but particularly if it involves looking after pugs!
Outside of work I can often be found walking my own miniature dog pack
Hattie, Trainee VN
I love all aspects of nursing, but I particularly love patient care, ensuring the animals in my care feel safe and comfortable. I get really upset by the number of stray animals we come across and if I had my way I would like to take them all home
Arriane, Trainee VN
I am really enjoying my training both in practice at Green Pastures and also at college. i have really enjoyed the practical aspects of nursing particularly patient monitoring when animals are anaethetised and learning vital techniques such as CPR
It feels like there isn't much time outside of work at the moment, but when I do get it I enjoy caring for my pet dogs and trying to persuade my family that we NEED another Boxer puppy!
Poppy, Trainee VN
I have been at Green Pastures since 2015 when I decided to make the move from human to animal nursing. my time is split between being at the practice and going to college. I particularly love patient care, especially if it involves cats, i have really enjoyed learning cat friendly handling techniques to ensure our patients feel safe and as comfortable as possible
Outside of work I am slowly becoming a mad cat lady, with a brood of six cats to care for!
Amy, Trainee VN
I have just begun my nursing training at Green Pastures. Having formerly been a regular client with my guinea Pig Jerry, its funny being on the other side of practice life! I'm looking forward to starting college work and I'm enjoying starting out my training in patient care and gently handling techniques
